Literacy How| North Haven, CT
$165,000 to support the dissemination of The State of LD in CT: What the Governor Needs to Know, a state blueprint outlining what Connecticut needs to close the achievement gap and Pre-K RTI in CT. The second part of this grant includes teacher training and implementation of pre-k RTI in New Britain and Hartford school districts.


Frank Porter Graham Institute/ Miami-Dade Schools | Miami, FL
$225,000 to support Recognition and Response as an approach to use with Latino Dual Language Learners in the Miami-Dade school district.   
 Tides Foundation | New York, NY and San Francisco, CA
$50,000 a joint effort with the Annie E. Casey Foundation including the production of a white paper, “Charting Connections,” which describes what’s needed to improve education for those with LD as relates to the Campaign to Grade Level Reading.
CAST| Boston, MA
$125,000 to support the National Center for Universal Design for Learning (UDL)  and $133,000 to support the UDL Recovery Act Project, pair of studies that look at how ARRA funds have been used to promote UDL.
Hillside School | Marlborough, MA
$50,000 to support Network of Learning, digital media that provides a full learning profile of each student for parents, teachers and administrators to use in an effort to increase communication and provide a better education.
Project Eye to Eye | New York, NY
$150,000 to support the Providence Group and the Think Different Youth Leadership Movement. The Providence Group is a group of leaders in the LD community who have committed themselves to identifying and  removing barriers that interfere with workplace and academic success for people with LD. The Think Different Youth Leadership Movement is exploring the use of social networking and new media to give youth advocates with LD a voice.
