To support their project with the US Regional Climate Action Network to build state and regional campaigns and global warming action plans in key areas in the U.S.  The grant will support 3-4 regional strategy meetings for Region-Based Campaign Roadmaps.  $20,000

For their continued work facilitating the development of a Connecticut Climate Action Plan designed by various stakeholders in Connecticut including, businesses, community leaders, non-profit organizations and state agencies.  $50,000

ASSOCIATES PROGRAM

Early in our history, the foundation recognized that in order to ensure the legacy of our work, we must invest in and engage the next generation in the Foundation’s activities. In response to this need, we designed the Associates Program which focuses on the third generation associates (G3’s) between the ages of 16 and 40.  The program has continued to evolve since its inception in 1996.

To provide support for the Butterflies Are Teachers program which uses hands-on learning to educate elementary students in the areas of math and science through designing and maintaining a butterfly garden.  $28,500. 

2002

Maplewood Elementary School, Bridgeport, CT
To purchase laptops for the fifth and sixth grade for use to enhance their classroom learning experience.  $28,000.
