Exhibitions on the Cusp

For 2018, we’ve mashed-up a retrospective and a visioning process to bring you a unique, interactive, year-long e-publication: Exhibitions on the Cusp.

Launched in November 2017, Exhibitions on the Cusp delivered twelve monthly issues of thematic stories, articles, images, social media posts, and news items.  Each issue drew inspiration by looking back at the 20-year archive of the Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award – a hallmark for curators who have put forth unconventional aesthetics or offered challenging historical, cultural and social frameworks. Each issue also looked forward by using exhibition themes as springboards for conversations on the progressive advancement of the arts and explorations of critical ideas of the times.

Go to Exhibitions on the Cusp to join the community of thought and action contributors, and to converse with the influencers in the field.  You’ll find stimulating content and ideas related to Race & Identity, Art in the Information Age, Art and Social Justice, the Democratization of Art, and more!
