Our People
With the exception of the President, all members of the Board of Directors are descendants of Burton G. Tremaine, Sr. (The Foundation defines descendants as blood descendants and their spouses, their stepchildren, and their adopted children.) They bring a wide range of experience, interests, and expertise to the leadership of the Foundation. Other members of the family serve as Associates and are actively engaged with the Foundation, including service on committees.

In Memoriam Burton G. Tremaine, Jr. (1923 - 2002) Burton Jr. was the first chairman of the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation. Under his leadership, the family pursued formative questions regarding the selection of focus areas and approaches to knowledge and strategy development. His lasting contributions will forever be a touchstone and inspiration for family and board members. |
In Memoriam Dorothy (Dee) Tremaine Hildt (1927 - 2014) For more than twenty years, Dee served the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation. She was one of the founding directors and worked to establish the Foundation. She served as the second Chairman of the EHTF Board of Directors and guided the foundation into the twenty-first century. She will always be remembered and missed for her wisdom, insight and elegance. |
In Memoriam Kenneth Bryant Wick, Jr. (1961 - 2009) Bryant was committed to the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, and served as Chairman of the Board at the time of his death. He played a lead role in crafting a program for the next generation of Tremaine family members, many of whom are now serving on the Board. Bryant will always be deeply missed by his family, friends and all of us at the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation. |
